Um bandido armado tentou assaltar um grupo de pessoas que chegavam para jantar em um restaurante na Rua Coronel Dulcídio, no Batel, na noite de terça-feira (23). O homem foi dominado pelo segurança da casa enquanto os clientes correram para dentro apavorados e, provavelmente, já sem apetite. Chamada, a polícia chegou rapidamente e levou o assaltante preso. Mas não se sabe até quando ficará fora de circulação.
O trecho da rua, entre a Comendador Araújo e a Dom Pedro II, é mal iluminado por causa dos constantes roubos de fiação, fazendo com que os postes vivam apagados. Moradores e donos de estabelecimentos pediram providências à prefeitura e a iluminação foi restabelecida recentemente. Mas andar por ali à noite, com ou sem luz, é uma loteria.
Devido aos constantes furtos de fiação a Copel deveria junto da prefeitura instalar fiação subterrânea, não por questões estéticas e sim por segurança pública.
