“Lava-Jato não pode ser desmoralizada”, diz o presidente da OAB Paraná

“A Lava-Jato não pode ser desmoralizada, sob pena de darmos guarida aos corruptos e às suas práticas abomináveis que tanto prejuízo causam ao país. Enfraquecer a operação Lava-Jato significa afrouxar as rédeas, deixar em mãos pusilânimes os destinos da nação”, disse o presidente da OAB Paraná, Cássio Telles, ao participar, na noite desta quinta-feira (13), do I Simpósio de Combate à Corrupção na Administração Pública, promovido pela Controladoria Geral do Estado, na sede da seccional.
Para Telles a operação Lava Jato virou uma instituição do país. “Ela é maior do que as pessoas que a conduziram, pois significou um marco no combate à corrupção na esfera pública. Por isso, deve ser preservada, acima de qualquer personalismo, em nome da ética, da moralidade pública e da transparência. Mas como sempre dissemos, qualquer punição deve respeitar aquilo que ordena a Constituição Federal, ou seja, o respeito ao devido processo legal, ao contraditório, à ampla defesa e, sobretudo, à imparcialidade e à independência do Judiciário”, sustentou.
O presidente da OAB Paraná ainda afirmou que não se pode desconsiderar a gravidade dos fatos recentemente divulgados, que demandam investigação plena, imparcial e isenta, na medida em que envolvem membros do Ministério Público Federal, ex-membro do Poder Judiciário e a possível relação de promiscuidade na condução de ações penais no âmbito da operação Lava-Jato. “As investigações devem correr sem qualquer suspeita e, para isso, é fundamental a independência e imparcialidade do Poder Judiciário”, ressaltou.
O evento foi aberto pelo governador do Paraná, Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior, e teve uma palestra inaugural proferida pelo filósofo, escritor e colunista do jornal Folha de S. Paulo Luiz Felipe Pondé sobre ética e integridade na administração pública. O simpósio prossegue nesta sexta-feira, com apresentação de cases e três painéis de debates. A abertura dos painéis será feita pelo controlador-geral do Estado, Raul Siqueira.
