Lá vem o trem! Litoral do Paraná vai ganhar mais uma atração turística

Nesta quarta-feira (23), o governador Ratinho Junior e o presidente da empresa Rumo Logística, João Alberto Abreu, assinaram um protocolo de intenções que permitirá que a ligação férrea entre Antonina e Morretes seja completamente revitalizada, voltando inclusive a fazer o transporte de passageiros.
A reunião aconteceu no Centro de Exposições de Ponta Grossa, sede administrativa do governo estadual até esta quinta-feira (24), e a previsão é que estrutura de 16 quilômetros fique pronta ainda em 2019, visto que as obras começarão imediatamente, a tempo de fazer a inauguração oficial da linha com o passeio de Natal.
O objetivo do Governo com essa parceria é fortalecer ainda mais o turismo do Paraná, pois com o novo ramal, o turista que está na capital poderá conhecer as duas cidades históricas do Litoral, passando pela Mata Atlântica, de trem. As últimas excursões que transportaram turistas usando a linha aconteceram na década de 1990.
A revitalização será custeada pela
Rumo com coordenação da Associação Brasileira de Preservação Ferroviária
(ABPF), entidade sem fins lucrativos que promove a conservação do patrimônio
histórico ferroviário brasileiro. Além disso, o governador também autorizou a
licitação das obras de reparo e melhorias dos trapiches existentes em
Encantadas e Nova Brasília, na Ilha do Mel. O prazo de entrega é de sete meses.
