Hospital Santa Cruz inaugura ampliação da UTI Neonatal; evento homenageia Novembro Roxo, mês da conscientização da prematuridade

O Hospital Santa Cruz inaugurou sua nova Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal, com 40% mais leitos. A inauguração coincide com o mês de conscientização sobre a prematuridade. São 14 leitos neonatais, quatro a mais do que o oferecido até então. Segundo o neonatologista e coordenador da unidade, Ênio Torricillas, a ampliação da capacidade vai gerar melhorias no atendimento a todas as gestantes, em especial às que apresentam alto risco, e também aos pais dos pacientes prematuros. “Os familiares terão mais conforto e tranquilidade para se dedicar à evolução dos bebês”, diz o médico.
“Com a ampliação de leitos neonatais, reforçamos também a segurança da equipe multidisciplinar, que sabe que pode contar com uma estrutura moderna e as melhores práticas assistenciais, o que influencia também o controle dos índices de infecção e mortalidade”, acrescenta a coordenadora de enfermagem da UTI Neonatal, Paula Mara Bordim Lopes.
Desde agosto, além dos serviços de urgência e emergência, o Santa Cruz oferece atendimento ambulatorial de baixa à alta complexidade em ginecologia e obstetrícia por meio do Centro de Especialidades em Saúde da Mulher.
