De Curitiba para Veneza; The Venice Glass Week destaca peças de artista visual brasileira

A designer e artista visual Désirée Sessegolo, ítalo-brasileira nascida em Curitiba, acaba de ser selecionada para expor suas peças pelo segundo ano seguido na The Venice Glass Week, evento internacional realizado na cidade de Veneza, na Itália.
Seguindo o conceito de “Amazônia”, obra exibida no ano passado, Désirée leva para esta edição a instalação Morpho, composta por 30 peças suspensas por fios (4x3m), inspirada na borboleta Morpho anaxibia, espécie endêmica da fauna brasileira conhecida pelo esplendor de suas asas azuis, e a Oggetti in vetro cellulare, composta por uma família de objetos escultóricos em cores puras (15x15x3cm). As obras são produzidas com uma técnica desenvolvida por ela que se diferencia pelas texturas, espaços vazados e formas orgânicas.
As propostas foram selecionadas pela jornalista Uta Klotz, pelo professor universitário Marco Zito, pela diretora da revista alemã Neues Glas e por um comitê científico presidido pela historiadora de vidro veneziana Rosa Barovier Mentasti e pelos críticos e curadores Isabelle Rehier e Jean Blanchaert.
