Produção de jogos eletrônicos entra para edital de projetos com incentivos do governo do estado

O mercado de games no Paraná vai ganhar incentivo público. O governo do estado, por meio da Superintendência da Cultura, vai fomentar o setor no Edital de Produção e Desenvolvimento de Obras Audiovisuais que terá R$ 10 milhões para a produção de curtas e longas-metragens, telefilmes, desenvolvimento de projetos, além de jogos eletrônicos. A categoria de jogos eletrônicos visa a produção de um jogo eletrônico para exploração comercial em consoles (videogames), computadores ou dispositivos móveis (celulares e tablets). Uma das exigências do edital é que o conteúdo seja inédito e de preferência com temática paranaense. As inscrições podem ser feitas até 29 de julho.
Segundo a coordenadora de Ação Cultural e Economia Criativa da Superintendência da Cultura do estado, Mariana Bernal, o edital que contempla os jogos terá dois projetos selecionados e um aporte no valor de R$ 250 mil. O prazo de conclusão é de 24 meses a partir do recebimento dos recursos. A projeção de faturamento do mercado de jogos de entretenimento no Brasil é de US$ 4,3 bilhões (cerca de R$ 17 bilhões) para 2019. No 2º Censo da Indústria Brasileira de Jogos Digitais, de 2018, o Paraná aparece como o quarto estado com mais empresas desenvolvedoras de jogos digitais – 30 no total.
