Quando Andreia Cristina Caldani, 42 anos, participou do processo seletivo para a vaga de Diretor Geral da Unisociesc – instituição de ensino presente no Paraná e em Santa Catarina, em 2017, não esperava ser escolhida. Ela concorria à vaga com outros dois candidatos homens. Para a surpresa de Andreia, o resultado foi diferente – ela foi selecionada e passou a compor o quadro diretivo do Centro Educacional e a dividir a jornada com outros diretores – todos do sexo masculino. Sua história vai na contramão da realidade no mercado de trabalho.
De acordo com o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), o número de mulheres em cargos de liderança é de apenas 38%. E segundo dados do IBGE de 2017, entre os anos de 2012 e 2016, as mulheres ganhavam, em média, 75% do que ganhavam os homens.
“O mais interessante é que essa disparidade não decorre da qualificação, já que as mulheres estão em ascensão no ensino superior e estão igualmente capacitadas e tituladas se comparadas ao público masculino”, observa Andreia. Para ela, mais do que qualificação técnica, a questão é cultural e se traduz em grande empecilho para a equidade. “Enquanto não mudarmos as teias mentais que imperaram por longos anos, precisaremos persistir”, completa.
Mas o caminho até sua atual posição não foi fácil. “Lembro que, nos primeiros anos de carreira, ainda como advogada, ser jovem e mulher foram grandes dificultadores dentro da área jurídica, o que me gerou certo desgaste e levou à tomada de decisão de trocar o cotidiano dos tribunais pela sala de aula. O preconceito gera insegurança nas pessoas e poucas conseguem driblar os medos e seguir em frente”, conta. Mas Andreia resolveu mudar. Desde o início da carreira até hoje se passaram 17 anos, os quais ela dedicou a construir uma nova carreira, em uma área totalmente diferente da qual havia se formado. “Posso dizer que hoje sou realizada e meu propósito de vida está muito bem definido: transformar o país pela educação”, afirma.
Quanto ao futuro, a executiva se mostra otimista. Para ela, as contratações e remuneração por gênero estão próximas do fim e caminhamos para uma era de contratação por competências. “Acredito muito que pessoas inspiram pessoas. Percebo que quanto mais uma mulher se sente empoderada, mais coisas ela consegue fazer e mais confiança tem em si para seguir fazendo diferença no mundo. É uma nova ordem mundial, onde a mulher pode ser o que quiser”, finaliza.
